Anti-government protests are expected in the Haitian capitol of Port-au-Prince beginning July 6, 2020. Several groups - civil society, labor unions, student unions, women organizations, etc, are calling the public to turn out mass and inform the government of what they describe as rampant corruption, misuse of state resources and power. The protesters also complained of police brutality which in more cases led to death. Corruption continues to cripple the poor country - one of the poorest in the world.
