Armed men on horse backs gun down more than 60 villagers in Masalit village in the Darfur region of Sudan. According local sources, the killing is about tribal land war between two rival tribes fighting for agriculture land for animals and crops. This not the first time farmers have killed each other farm land in the region. There seems to be no end to such war and the Sudanese government is growing frustrated and confused about the Darfur trouble.
A government official was heard saying 'Sudan has many problems and the Darfur trouble is just a drop in an ocean of troubles. The local chiefs will settle themselves, meaning, they are parts of the fightings and killings.'
