August 28, 2020 Protest for Racial Justice at the Lincoln Memorial Washington, DC

Updated: Nov 19, 2021

ProtestBlog.org Get your Knee off our Necks! You were there with us in spirit my friend. It is ultimately your neck too, no matter what color you are, police brutality and murder causes damage to everyone, society as a whole.

One does well to wonder what Abraham Lincoln would think and say about the protest occuring at his feet, if he were alive rather than a statue. We can ask ourselves to take a critical look at how long has passed since Lincoln was killed in the Spring of 1865. 155 years have passed since the end of the Civil War, 157 since Lincoln published his ¨Emancipation Proclamation¨ and black and brown men and women continue to be slaughtered on the streets of America - North and South - in broad daylight, based in great part on the color of their skin.
