Updated: Nov 19, 2021

ProtestBlog.org: Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Nearly 100 people gathered this week outside the US Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, to support Black Lives Matter and the cause of racial justice and equality; making special reference to George Floyd and a nod of solidarity with the protests for justice, accountability and an end to police violence against people of color in the USA.

The demonstrators, Kenyans and some foreign citizens, marched in solidarity with US protesters chanting "Black lives matter". They called for accountability from the US embassy in law enforcement worldwide, in Kenya as well as in the USA. The US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle called on leaders to act and change policing in both the US and Kenya. South Africans of all races also marched and rallied in several cities, calling for an end to police brutality and showing solidarity with BLM Global.
