ProtestBlog.org: Both Lebanon and Algeria spent much of the past year, 2019-2020, experiencing wave after wave of anti-government protests, seeking the overthrow of the established political class, sectarian elites and those who support them and wield power, stealing from and repressing the people. For this reason, Lebanese protesters feel a deep solidarity with the Algerian protesters. Soon, if not already, the flag of Lebanon will also be flying in Algeria. We encourage this kind of solidarity between peoples in the same part of the world under similar circumstances, a life and death struggle for their futures, and a better future with greater opportunity and economic justice for their children.
