ProtestBlog.org: Nearly one quarter of the adults that were on the streets of Bogota, Colombia's capital, are people who make thier living in one way or another, in the street. Generally speaking, unless they are fortunate enough to find discarded food, they do not eat unless they generate an income in one way or another. In the video below, these individuals were just going into lockdown three weeks ago. One can easily feel the desperation in thier voices for they are aware of the horror that faces them over coming days.
The acute desperation of Bogota three weeks ago coincided with a prison riot in the city in which 23 prisoners died and several security officials were injured, two critically. The government denied that coronavirus was in the jail at the time that the riot occurred.
