French Firefighers Join Protests across France, fighting agains the police in defense of the people

Updated: Nov 19, 2021

ProtestBlog.org: In France, during the first week of February, 2020, thousands of protesters poured into the streets of Paris, Marseille, Nantes, Rennes, Toulouse and Bordeaux, continuing mass demonstrations that have lasted for several months, adding to widespread resistance against the pension overhaul that President Emmanuel Macron has been trying to push through. What is most novel about recent protest events in France, however, is the fact that firefighters joined the protesters and clashed with police, using shields against the swinging batons, firefighters pushed the police back. The most recent heroes of the resistance in the longest-running popular protests in France since 1968, long live the French firefighters, fighting in the streets of France to defend the French people, their livelihoods, and the right to a dignified retirement.
