ProtestBlog.org: Protests broke out in December, 2019, as Australia burned, subject to the worst forest fires in living memory, with many cities including Sydney covered by black smoke making it difficult for people to breath. Everything complicated by one of the worst droughts in memory, while arson is suspected to also be a factor, everyone is pointing to climate change as the principal driving force behind this death and destruction. The protests against government inaction to thwart climate change continue in Australia.
By mid-January, 2020, most of the fires had done their work, protests now have a certain sense of urgency, and arouse an ire, like never before.
